Hwa-Rang  is named after the 7th century youth group that helped unite the 3 kingdoms of Korea.

 

 

Begin from closed ready stance C  at “B” facing “H.”


1.  Move the L foot toward C to form a riding stance facing H --  L MS palm pushing block.

2.  Execute a R MS punch.
3.  Execute a L MS punch.
4.  Pivot on both feet forming a L back stance to A -- execute simultaneously a R MS outer forearm block and a L HS outer forearm (rising)

     block.
5.  Execute a L upset punch while pulling the R fist to the L shoulder.
6.  Slide the R foot forward to A into an extended L back stance while performing a R MS punch to A.
7.  Move the R foot to the L foot forming a left vertical stance while executing a R downward knife-hand strike.
8.  Slide the L foot toward A forming a L front stance to A --  L MS punch.
9.  Move the L foot toward E forming a L front stance to H --  L LS forearm block.
10.  Move the R foot toward H forming a R front stance to H --  R MS punch..
11.  Bring the L foot toward the R foot while covering the R forefist with the L palm and bend the R elbow approximately 45 degrees.
12.  Execute a R MS side thrust kick toward H while pulling both hands in the opposite direction. Place R foot down toward H forming a L

back stance to H – R MS outward knife-hand strike.
13.  Move the L foot toward H forming a L front stance to H --  L MS punch.
14.  Move the R foot toward H forming a R front stance to H --  R MS punch.
15.  Turn CCW toward G moving the L foot to form a R back stance to G --  MS knife-hand guarding block.
16.  Move the R foot toward G forming a R front stance to G --  R MS vertical spear hand thrust.
17.  Move the R foot on line with the L foot to form a R back stance toward I --  MS knife-hand guarding block.
18.  Execute a HS R turning (roundhouse) kick toward I and immediately …
19.  Execute a HS L turning (roundhouse) kick toward I and then lower it to I  forming a R back stance to I --  MS knife-hand guarding block.
20.  Move the L foot toward B forming a L front stance to B --  L LS forearm block.
21.  Shift the L foot into a R back stance to B and execute a R MS punch to B.
22.  Move the R foot toward B forming a L back stance to B --  L MS punch to B.
23.  Move the L foot toward B forming a R back stance to B --  R MS R punch to B.
24.  Shift the L foot into a L front stance to B while executing a LS X-fist block.
25.  Slide the R foot toward B turning CCW and forming a R back stance toward B – R elbow thrust to B.
26.  Turn CCW bringing the L foot to the R foot to form a closed stance facing C --  R MS inner forearm block and L LS forearm block.
27.  L MS inner forearm block and R LS forearm block
28.  Move the L foot toward C forming a R back stance to C -- MS knife-hand guarding block.
29.  Bring the L foot to the R foot and then slide the R foot toward A forming a L back stance to A --  MS knife-hand guarding block.

 

End by returning the R foot back to closed ready stance C  at “B” facing “H.”
